My research spans functional nanomaterials, sensing technologies, sustainable materials, and resource recovery:

  • Sustainable Materials & Waste Valorisation: Transforming waste streams into activated carbon for energy storage and reforming quantum dots for environmental monitoring.
  • Flame Spray Pyrolysis: Scalable aerosol synthesis of functional oxide nanostructures and porous thick films.
  • Oxygen-Vacancy Engineering: Modulating defect states in wide-bandgap semiconductors to improve gas sensing performance.
  • Miniaturized Sensing Devices: Developing sensitive opto-electronic sensor arrays and nano-heterojunctions for gas detection and healthcare diagnostics.
